Audio Plays
I spent almost a decade working with the Rude Mechanicals Theater Ensemble in Keene, New Hampshire. During that time I wrote a couple of plays. After I moved across the country, we decided to keep the company alive, even at a distance by producing full cast recordings of a couple of my plays. They are available on youtube for your viewing/listening pleasure.
This is Changeling, a play by Elaine Allen. The one act version of this play was first performed by the Rude Mechanicals’ Theatre Ensemble out of Keene, New Hampshire. Many of the original cast members from those two productions returned for this audio version.
Changeling features some lines from poetry from classic poems about fairies, including: “Goblin Market” by Christina Rossetti
“The Stolen Child” by W. B. Yeats
“Tam Lin” by Robert Burns
“Thomas the Rhymer” by Sir Walter Scott
“La Belle Dame sans Merci” by John Keats
This production was directed by Jazmine Carroll and Elaine Allen.
