What's Next?
I have several books that I am hoping to publish in the next few years, as well as a few projects I am actively writing. I will update when I have exact dates, but you can expect Bones of Stone in Early 2026.
The images attached to each project are some of my paintings. They may or may not eventually have something to do with the covers of the books when published.
Child of Earth and Air (Coming Fall 2026)
Getting to work on the First Island University's submersible project is Isabella's dream come true, but when a mysterious beggar called Ward warns her that the project might restart a world-shattering war with the Children of the Sea - who Isabella's people have long assumed to be legends - she's going to have to learn their forgotten history or every Child of Earth may suffer the consequences.
Broken Guardian
Dahiel and Maren have been running for most of their lives, stepping from one world to another, fleeing the invasion of their peaceful homeland. When they find themselves in a new world that seems to have no magic, Dahiel thinks this is a place where the dangerously magical Maren will be safe for a while. But finding themselves in a camp where children are trained to be soldiers, they do not exactly fit in. With traps around every corner, secret magic hiding in the shadows, and separated from Maren, Dahiel will find himself drawn into a fight that will bring his pacifist nature into direct conflict with his desire to protect those he loves.
Ariya's Dragon
Ariya's sharp mouth has always gotten her into trouble. But when a few snide words drives her village to sacrifice her to the dragon that lives at the top of the nearest mountain, she knows she's dead meat. More likely from exposure than a fire-breathing lizard. But when a man named Balthazar shows up and introduces himself as the dragon, what could have been her last moments ends up as the start of an adventure that will carry her across the continent, into the opulent court of the Mithgard dragons, and right in the way of the human's desperate attempt to gain some kind of power over the dragons who could swallow them whole.
Kiyto Urgana
Much maligned younger prince Jayden rides into battle with the hopes of hauling even a tiny bit of his reputation out of the mud, but when he rides back out with prisoner named Kiyto, it could just as easily make him look worse. Because Jayden's problem has always been his interest in other men. In Sera, men are not supposed to be attracted to other men, and damn is he attracted to Kiyto. Even though Kiyto is a Tamrin, a race of shapeshifters who have long been enemies of the Sera, he seems at least amused by, if not interested in Jayden as well. But when someone tries to kill Jayden, he's going to have to trust Kiyto to not just keep him alive, but to turn him into a player in a court that has never seen him as anything but an embarrassment.
Shadow and Light
Centuries ago the Victorial Empire took the Kosti homeland, driving them out to be itinerant thieves, performers, tinkers, and any other legal or less legal profession they could manage.
Now, Meeka and his cousin Teela are just trying to survive in a country that would rather see them hang than let them live a peaceful life. When a heist goes wrong, Teela gets captured by the last person she expected to run into, her childhood love who grew up to be a guard: Christopher. He frees her, but now they will all have to face the fact that if the Kosti want to survive, running may not be enough.
Meeka was born to be king of the Kosti, and as king, he might have the power to save himself, his cousin, the idiot guard who loves her, and maybe if the Goddess is with them, the entire Kosti people.
The Mercenaries and the Wolves
Mirka's father took the throne from the Wolves when she was a child, and Wolvenden has been crumbling ever since. Demons attack, darkness comes earlier every night, crops fail, and plagues ravage the population. So when a Wolf shows up in her bedroom, she is more than willing to run away with him and see if she can undo the rot her family has brought to their home.
When Evan's mercenary troop washes ashore in a kingdom none of the have ever heard of, a kingdom where the sun sets long before it should and where the darkness has teeth, he trusts his Captain to get them home. Hired to search out the kidnapped Princess Mirka, they will have to choose: either fight the shapeshifting, divinely-appointed Wolves or fight for them against the usurpers. Either way, there's a good chance they're never getting home.
Merrow's Home
Leopold hasn't been the same since Merrow swam away. They were inseparable throughout most of their childhood at the University of Korisaint's Power, except for the times when Merrow was dragged away for the professors to study. Because Merrow isn't human. His mother was a captured mer. Unable to live full time on land, but also unable to stay below the waves with his mother's people, Merrow just wants somewhere he can breathe, where he's not constantly in pain, and preferably somewhere where he can be with Leopold. Trapped between two the land and the sea, they will have to face off against some of the most powerful wizards in their world to keep Merrow free, Leopold alive, and to keep war from breaking out between all mer and landwalkers.
